TI VOGLIO BENE

Porto San Giorgio

Province of Fermo

As part of the integrated project for road safety “Ti Voglio Bene”, the city of Porto San Giorgio host the first system “Pedone Sicuro2.0” for the protection of pedestrian crossings.
“Pedone Sicuro 2.0” is an active control system that brings greater safety for pedestrians, the weakest road users, and statistically 4 times more susceptible to accidents than those who drive a car.
At the junction of Via Montegrappa with Antonio Gramsci waterfront, a double pedestrian walkway is therefore protected by this innovative system composed of optical sensors that alert the pre detectors LED in the event of a pedestrian crossing, for both directions of travel, and a camera that frames all the intersection at 360 °.

THE WITNESS

The occurrence of road accidents is due to the distraction of road users and even to high speed, it is therefore necessary to increase alertness and implement road safety tools on our territory: the system Pedone Sicuro 2.0 is an effective deterrent on the incorrect motorists behavior, increasing the level of safety for pedestrians.
